Dr. Jennifer Brady Cook makes it a policy to ensure that all staff members of Visionary Eye Care are up-to-date on the latest eye care developments and technology to make your visit as comfortable and effective as possible. Since optometric technology is constantly changing, it is important to select an eye doctor who possesses all the necessary optometry qualifications and follows the latest advancements in eye care.
Virtually a native Floridian, I grew up in Daytona and Flagler Beach. Being a daughter of a teacher and photographer, I developed a passion for science and the arts. I was Salutatorian of my class at Flagler Palm Coast High School in 1992. I went to undergrad at Florida Atlantic University and received a Bachelor's of Science with Honors in Chemistry in 1995 and then my Master's in Chemistry the following year. I then went on to optometry school in Florida at Nova Southeastern University and graduated in 2000.
As a Doctor of Optometry, part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education. As technology and the world around us changes, I have to keep up-to-date, because I have to provide the best care possible for your eyes. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, including toddlers. I get great satisfaction out of fitting contact lenses, particularly for those told they can't wear them. My specialty is personalized ophthalmic care.
As a wife, dog mom, and now a real mom, I enjoy roller blading, yoga, and most outdoor activities. I have a passion for traveling, but the best trips are those with the bulldogs. My charities are the Humane Society of Tampa (ASPCA) and the Hoe Children's Home.
Dr. Michael Cook graduated from NOVA Southeastern University in 2000 with a Doctorate in Optometry. Although his passion is in Developmental Optometry and Vision Therapy, his other areas of expertise include seeing patients as young as six months of age as well as fitting challenging contact lens patients. Dr. Cook also fits patients into special contact lenses that actually correct your vision while you sleep so that no vision correction is required during the day (orthokeratology). He is certified in the use of therapeutic pharmaceuticals, and routinely treats medical eye conditions.
